The Ilamatepec or Santa Ana Volcano, whose indigenous name comes from Nahuat and means: “the hill of the old woman”, located in the department of Santa Ana and has an altitude of 2,381 meters above sea level, being the highest volcano from El Salvador.
Lake Coatepeque is of volcanic origin and is located south of the city of Santa Ana, without a doubt it is one of the most beautiful landscapes in El Salvador.
